is a common extra cranial pediatric solid tumor, a neoplasm of the
synapathoadrenal lineage of the neural crest 1. It metastasizes to regional lymph nodes, brain, bone, and bone
marrow. Neuroblastomas are biologically heterogeneous tumors. Some undergo
spontaneous differentiation and others are highly resistant to multimodal
therapy. The clinical presentation varies, ranging from a mass that causes no
symptoms, to a primary tumor that causes critical illness as a result of local
invasion, widely disseminated disease, or both.
